LAMINATE:
Laminate is a manufactured product that simulates the look of hardwood, natural stone and many other types of flooring. In the past, laminate floors have been easy to spot, but today’s technology allows manufacturers to create realistic visuals and textures for an elegant and quality floor.
Laminate is constructed in layers to create lasting, affordable, beautiful floors.
Four layers of material, each with its own purpose, are fused together to create laminate flooring that is durable and will last for years to come.
Layer 1: A melamine backing layer provides a moisture barrier and structural integrity.
Layer 2: Shaw adds Moisture Seal within an ultra-dense core board to provide even more structural stability and moisture defense.
Layer 3: Beneath the top layer is the decor layer featuring natural hardwood designs.
Layer 4: A melamine wear top layer offers a tough, beautiful finish.

TILE/CUSTOM TILE/STONE WORK:
From concept to creation is our motto with all of our tile work, whether we are tiling a 30 square foot bathroom or creating a beautiful eight hundred square foot great room we take pride in creating not only a floor but a piece of art.
Porcelain is a type of ceramic itself. It is formed from finer clay and minerals, creating a denser tile that is fired at higher temperatures, helping make porcelain more water-resistant.
Both ceramic and porcelain have many inherent qualities that make them a great flooring choice for busy, active families. Tile from Shaw Ceramics is resistant to stains, odors, bacteria, and scratches. It is also naturally hygienic, easy to clean, and always beautiful.

HARDWOODS/BAMBOO
Character: Naturally present in hardwood, grain variations help determine a wood's style. Dramatic grain variations will produce a rustic style. Moderate grain variations are present in traditional woods. For a sleek, contemporary look, choose a select hardwood with very little color variation.
Construction: Solid or engineered, the construction of your hardwood can help determine where your floors should be placed. Solid is created from a single piece of wood that makes a beautiful floor that lasts for years. Engineered is made from several layers of wood and is designed to withstand higher levels of humidity so it can be placed in different areas of the home.
